First Nations liaison officers

If you are a First Nations person and you want to apply to the Tribunal to review an Australian Government decision, including a first review of a Centrelink decision, there is support available to you.

We can connect you with one of our First Nations liaison officers for personalised and culturally safe support. They can work alongside you to make sure your cultural perspective is respected and understood throughout the review process.

Our liaison officers may be able to help you by explaining Tribunal processes, attending hearings or case events as a support person, providing cultural guidance to Tribunal staff and members, or talking to your representative on your behalf.

First Nations liaison officers do not provide legal advice or make decisions about cases.

If you would like more information about how to get help from a First Nations liaison officer, please contact us.
